"Dark" is a rewarding investment in time spent in untangling the family trees and timelines. It's also an intriguing experiment in how looped events and themes of determinism can play into growth and evolution.
What an amazing piece of work! The best sci-fi series of the 21st century. Everything is too good to be true.
It takes the traditional beginning, middle and end story structure and tears it apart to build something brilliant and entirely unpredictable... But if you thought season one was a wild ride, the second chapter went to places even we weren't prepared for.
An intelligent and complex series that doesn't talk down to viewers, this is one of the most intriguing shows out there, with a second season that maintains the high quality of the first.
Dark takes this quintessential time travel paradox and cubes it, adding so many paradoxes and logic wrinkles that keeping track of them all can give you a headache. But there's something entertaining about the intellectual rigor all the same.
I will not say "Dark" was over-hyped; until the last four episodes of the second season or so, I was entranced by "Dark's" imagination.
